Garrison Seasonal: Peanut Butter & Jelly (Garrison Brewing Company, Halifax, NS): 4.8% Alc/Vol. A Saturday lunchtime special? A blend of Garrison’s popular Raspberry wheat and their legendary Nut Brown, this ale starts off with clearly berry notes and ends with a nutty/toasty kick.

Propeller Seasonal: Hefeweizen (Propeller Brewing Company, Halifax, NS): 4.5% Alc/Vol; 10 IBU. Pretend you’re at Oktoberfest in May! This pale, refreshing German wheat beer is fizzy with a dry finish. Definite banana/clove yeasty character.

Maybee Tailwind Session Ale (Maybee Brewing Company, Fredericton, NB): 4.8% Alc/Vol; 45 IBU. For drinking on the deck once you’ve finished your Saturday afternoon chores. Made with late additions of Mosaic, Amarillo, and local Chinook hops, this New England-style IPA tastes of tropical fruit and citrus.
